Presented by: Adam Gibson, CMKBD, CAPS

You put tons of effort into making great projects, but do you employ photography that best represents your high quality? Do your images compare to those in national design magazines? This program will explain how to create striking architectural photographs on your own and increase your bottom line AND what to look for when hiring a pro. Hiring a professional often nets the best results—but not always. Architectural photography is like no other. Knowing what will draw the viewer’s eye to what you want them to see, namely, your work, is critical. You’ll see how some photographers get it wrong and how to avoid those mistakes. Want to try it on your own? Learn from a designer who is also a professional photographer. With some investment you don’t need to be pro to use their tricks. You’ll learn about good camera and lens combinations, simple lighting tricks, where to place your camera, what to focus on, post processing and compositing multiple images.

In this presentation, Adam will:

  • Acquire a basic comprehension of composition and what you want your audience to understand.
  • Know what to look for when hiring a professional architectural photographer.
  • Learn good, practical lighting techniques at little or no cost.
  • Practice making superb photographs of your own work.
  • Understand how varying lenses and camera bodies will affect your composition.

Designing since 1995, Adam Gibson currently divides his time creating luxury home additions, kitchens, and bathrooms, and professional photography. Tiring of spending thousands to photograph his work, he began an education on best architectural photography practices. Known for an infusion of natural light, clean lines, and warmth, he captures those elements in photography, often simply using available light. He shoots his own projects and those of designers and builders. View his images at www.adamgibson.com. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and Professional Photographers Guild and has been featured in regional and national publications.

Please join us for our social hour with appetizers and cash bar, followed by a sit down dinner and presentation at the Olde Mill Inn.

“Unlocking the Code to Successful Communication”

Presented by Danny Wood

You have probably noticed it is very easy to get along with certain people. You almost instantly and effortlessly understand the other person. The communication just flows.

Unfortunately, with most people communication takes more effort. It does not flow as easily. You cannot quite understand where the other person is coming from, what they really want, and what their intentions are.

In these situations, you probably feel there is something you could do, but are not quite sure what that is. You know your end goal – your destination – but are not sure how to get there. It is like being lost without a map.

In this program you will learn:

1. The four main human behavioral styles.

2. Who you are and how others perceive you.

3. How to read other people and better understand them.

4. How to adjust your communication style to achieve your goals.

Value to attendees:

Your success in life – both professional and personal – is determined in a very large part by how well you interact with other people.
Your ability to effectively relate, communicate, influence and motivate others is a crucial skill in creating successful relationships with clients, candidates, prospects, colleagues, subordinates, managers, friends and family members. Y

Il Villagio
651 Route 17
North Carlstadt, NEW JERSEY 07072

Presented by Steven Strauss, AKBD

Have you ever spent hours with a person who has no intention of giving you any money? Whether you choose to charge a design retainer or not, most kitchen and bath dealers spend too much time, and give away too much knowledge, prior to receiving a commitment from the potential customer. We will discuss ways to quickly and accurately estimate a project and professional way of discussing budget with a potential customer, without spending hours or even days of your valuable time.

By spending less time with non-customers, you will have additional time to devote to actual paying customers. Also, make sure you are talking to people that want to hear what you have to say. Learn unique ways of qualifying potential clients, without asking the typical qualifying questions.

Presentation Goals: Discuss and demonstrate methods to:
Qualify potential clients effectively
Quickly establish a budget for a kitchen or bathroom renovation
Recalculate changes with just a few mouse clicks
Make a professional presentation to the potential customer
Get a commitment from a potential client Waste less time = Close more sales
