2009 NKBA T-Shirt Design Competition
In Fall 2008, the NKBA announced our first KBIS® Student T-Shirt Design Competition. Students from NKBA accredited and supported schools were asked to design t-shirts for KBIS that capture the theme of the kitchen or bath as the "Heart of the Home." Many great designs were received.
And the winner is....
Grand Prize- $500 Scholarship

More than 2,325 members determined this year’s winning entry by casting their vote online. Grand prize winner Briana Bjerke received the most votes for her whimsical design. Briana portrayed a modern twist to a homespun theme, using sleek bath fixtures in the center of a heart to depict the theme of this year's show "Heart of the Home." In keeping with the bath motif, Briana incorporated soap bubbles floating for the date (2009) and location (Atlanta). This student from Alexandria Technical in Alexandria, MN has demonstrated that she has versatile design skills, also winning the Lamps Plus Lighting Challenge for students in 2008. Proceeds from this t-shirt benefit NKBA student chapters.
