2008 NKBA/K+BB Student Essay Contest

The National Kitchen & Bath Association would like to thank K+BB for its support in sponsoring the 2008 NKBA/K+BB Student Essay Contest. The essay topic: What K&B issue do you feel passionate about and how will YOU make a difference? (Ex: green design, universal design, beauty on any budget, etc.)

Congratulations to the following winners of the national competition:

  • 1st place - $1,500 scholarship
    Rebecca Taylor - Johnson County Community College
  • 2nd place - $1,000 scholarship
    Lee Ewings - Century College
  • 3rd place - $500 scholarship
    Lacey Madsen - Brigham Young University - Idaho

All of the winners received trips to Chicago to receive their award live on K+BB TV, and the complete essays were featured in April's issue of K+BB magazine. The NKBA is proud to announce that K+BB will again sponsor the essay contest in 2009 exclusively for students in NKBA Supported and Accredited Programs.
