3rd Place Bathroom
Designer: Allison Marie Bradshaw

Allison has created a tranquil spa area
for Carmen and David to enjoy. “The
calming influence of water and nature”
influenced her design. The materials and
colors chosen help to further convey the concept.
Soft blues and warm browns were used to create
a calm, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.
The flow through the bathroom is what Allison
feels is the best asset for the Lamberts. The
“flow is created through the seating,” a central
point and the toilet to the left and the shower
to the right. Carmen and David have the room
to share the space. Then, after relaxing in the
sauna, the shower can be accessed “without
walking across the whole bathroom.”
Between the shower and sauna is a dressing
area with shelving, a towel warmer, hooks, and
a vanity. The shelving is all glass, providing uncluttered
design. Heated flooring and electric
bathroom mirror defoggers were installed for
added comfort and convenience. A beverage
center is close to the sauna and shower. There
is adequate storage in the vanity and main seating
areas. A recessed cabinet is included for
medicine storage above the vanity.
The lumen therapy easily swings out from
the wall, and is turned on by a switch. The
aromatherapy was placed in a cabinet where
dispensers and refills are stored. The shower
has an aromatherapy option as well.
Allison has created a peaceful and tranquil
space for the Lamberts that they can enjoy at
the end of a stressful day.
