NKBA Student Chapters
To form a NKBA Student Chapter the program coordinator will set up a meeting with the local NKBA Chapter VP Endorsed Programs and three or more student currently enrolled in the program. This is the formation committee. The purpose of meeting is to determine the support for forming a student chapter.
The initial meeting of the student chapter is held with all students registered in the program along with the program coordinator and the chapter VP Endorsed Programs. Assuming there is support for the formation, those attending will elect the Student Chapter President, VP Programs, Secretary and Treasurer. All officers must be student member of NKBA.
The student chapter executive committee submits notification of the student chapter formation to NKBA headquarters. They must submit the names and contact information of the student chapter executive committee. The Endorsed Program Coordinator is the primary liaison between the the student chapter and NKBA, and all mailed materials will be sent to this person.
Upon receipt of the notification of the student chapter formation, a grant of $500 will be sent to the Endorsed Program Coordinator to support the activities of the NKBA student chapter for networking and educational/professional development activities.
