Hackettstown, N.J. (August 13, 2007) - The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is celebrating National Kitchen & Bath Month (NKBM) throughout October!
Established by the NKBA in 1982 and celebrated annually, National Kitchen & Bath Month is the perfect time to raise awareness of the importance of kitchen and bath professionals and to honor their achievements. National Kitchen & Bath Month is also a great opportunity to focus on immerging trends, kitchen and bath safety and important design strategies such as aging in place and sustainable building.
The NKBA strives to make October the most popular time of year for consumers to remodel, shop for and maintain their kitchens and bathrooms. With the kids back in school, a remodel during this time of year will be less disruptive to the family. This is also a great time for homeowners to improve their kitchen or bath before the holiday visitors arrive. For return on investment, the best home renovations are to upgrade an old kitchen or bath. According to Money Magazine, the return on investment on a mid-range bath modernization is 102% of its cost. Kitchens can add about 90% of their costs to the home's value.
As the leading information resource and only trade association dedicated exclusively to the kitchen and bath industry, the NKBA has planned many ways to use this time of year to heighten publicity and gain national recognition for the kitchen and bath industry, one of the most exciting and fastest growing industries.
A special NKBM section has been added to the Association's web site where consumers and professionals can find local and national NKBM events and industry information, search for local NKBA professionals and finds ways to join the celebration.
