Hackettstown, NJ (April 2, 2007) - The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) announced today that GE Monogram, Lutron Electronics Company, Natural Home Magazine and TOTO USA have signed multi-year agreements to partner in NKBA Green Design Programs & Courses. These companies will receive exposure throughout the year, including at the 2007 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show & Conference (K/BIS) in Las Vegas May 7-10. "Green Design/Sustainable Design is a critical part of the kitchen and bath industry. We are extremely pleased to welcome GE, Lutron, Natural Home and TOTO as partners to the NKBA Chapter Program and Education Course curriculum," said CEO Mike Kelly.
The NKBA Green Design Chapter Program and Courses address Green from a residential standpoint for the kitchen and bath designer. The "green" momentum continues and this course discusses four major areas of sustainable design and conservation: water, energy, materials, and air quality. Knowledge will be enhanced of why Green is consumer driven. Participants will become familiar with specific products that make sense and work toward balance in the natural home. "Shades of Green" is a systematic approach to meeting the client's desire to have an environmentally sensitive design without compromising the integrity of the whole house design.
Kitchen and bath industry professionals may call NKBA Customer Service at 800-843-6522 for more information on Experience Green and other NKBA education courses.
