Certification
The NKBA developed its certification programs as a way for kitchen and bath professionals to enhance their careers and market themselves as experts in their field. NKBA certification is based on in-depth testing and extensive industry experience. The NKBA’s certification examinations are developed by CASTLE Worldwide, Inc. in conjunction with NKBA’s Exam Development Committee. The primary body of knowledge for NKBA certification is the nine volume Professional Resource Library and the NKBA Kitchen & Bathroom Planning Guidelines.

Ms. Capra is a CKD and a CBD. She is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL and is a member of the South Florida Chapter.
How has being an NKBA member helped you?
Being a member of the NKBA has made it possible for my business to grow. My local involvement with the chapter has allowed me to meet many professionals in my industry.
Tell us a little about your work.
Over a year ago, I started my own company, Alena Capra Designs. I have a passion for kitchen and bath design, and love what I do.
How has NKBA certification helped you?
Being NKBA certified helped me gain new clients! In the past year, I have worked with three clients on kitchen and bath remodeling jobs that found me through the NKBA website. It is a wonderful resource for consumers!
