ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability is an international association of local governments and national and regional local government organizations that have made a commitment to sustainable development. More than 700 cities, towns, counties, and their associations worldwide comprise ICLEI's growing membership. ICLEI works with these local governments through international performance-based, results-oriented campaigns and programs.

From purchasing recycled paper and managing office waste, to buying renewable power and managing energy efficient buildings, the GSA uses green solutions to operate efficiently
U.S. Green Building Council & LEED System
The U.S. Green Building Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings accessible to everyone within a generation. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
