Designing the "Feels Right" Kitchen

Thursday, May 25th - 5:30-8:30 pm Granite Imports, Denver

Presented by Richard Landon, CMKBD How can we discover the effective, "feels right," information that inspires unique design solutions?  This presentation visits multiple avenues to drawing out our clients, developing their designs, creating trust and motivating their decisions.  Attendees will feel more equipped to be intentional in their design decisions and have a least one new way to create more distinctive designs. PEAK AWARD ENTRANTS: This is the drop off point and date for all designers submitting boards for the Sponsors Choice Judging.

Granite Imports are extensively experienced importers and distributors of high quality, specialty granite. They source only premium grade granite slabs, half slabs and tile, as well as other premium stone materials, and distribute them through independent fabricators in Grand Junction, Denver, and Fort Collins. They have over a decades worth of experience, having served the granite needs and requirements of the Western States since 2001. They value the long-term partnerships we have been able to develop with various quarries across the planet. Those relationships help them maintain their reputation as providers of quality, hand selected granite materials.

Managing the
Emotional Homeowner

Thursday, April 27 - 5:30-8:30 pm
Specialty Appliance, Greenwood Village
Managing emotional homeowners means managing expectations, and managing the process as well as the project. In this program, speaker David Lupberger reviews how to set clear project expectations, how to guide homeowners through the process, and how to implement specific strategies for managing homeowners during the remodeling process. Done properly, your customers become your biggest fans and best source of future referrals.

David Lupberger has been involved with custom home building and remodeling for over 20 years.  Over 90 percent of his work came from repeat and referral business, demonstrating the trust he developed with clients.

That experience in managing customer expectations led him to write a book called Managing the Emotional Homeowner which has become one of the bibles of the construction industry and helped hundreds of industry professionals improve the level of service they provide clients.

In 2004, Lupberger got to move back to Colorado, where he spent the first 30 years of his life.  From his base in Colorado, he now consults with both Remodelers and Industry Professionals such as GE to maximize customer service relationships between all the industry partners.  He travels extensively, speaking to thousands across the country and is a regular on the seminar series at national trade shows.  He is also a columnist for Professional Remodeler Magazine.

The NKBA Rocky Mountain chapter is also accepting donations to benefit. Our Chapter’s donations will help sponsor food and education for one of their monthly meetings. (Acceptable donations: cash, check or bring a gift card for one of the kids for their holiday party!) If  you can't make it to the event, please consider a donation.
