Architectural Tours of Savannah, LLC is a tour company with walks led by Jonathan Stalcup. Jonathan graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Master of Architecture degree in 2004. He shares Savannah’s history with both visitors and locals by describing the city’s built environment. Oglethorpe’s original plan, today’s desire to balance preservation with a living city, and almost 300 years in between are presented as a narrative timeline.


The tour will start in Olgethorpe Square and end in Wright Square.  Parking Meters on the street don't need to be paid after 5'oclock. We will provide water and a snack!

About the Speaker:

Ammie Dover was born in New Jersey, but raised in the gulf coast of Florida.  She spent most of her adult life in Baltimore and is a recent transplant to Savannah.  She is a veteran of the United States Air Force.  She spent six years on active duty.  After receiving an honorable discharge, she began working with SAIC managing Department of Defense, IT contracts.  The largest contract she managed valued $80M and was comprised of a team of 65 sub-contractors; 42 of which were small businesses.  While working to establish a rhythm with the small businesses, she discovered her passion… helping businesses create strategies and structure for growth.   In an effort to follow that passion, she started Larek Point Consulting.  Working as a small business strategist, she now works to identify and implement growth strategies for small and medium sized service based businesses.

John A. Petrie, CMKBD, has been working in the kitchen and bath industry since 1987, designing custom kitchens, bathrooms, home offices, wine cellars and home theaters. His early education was in architectural design, but his defining specialty and advanced training have been in kitchens and baths. He is the owner of Mother Hubbard’s Custom Cabinetry in Mechanicsburg, Pa. John has served the Susquehanna Valley Chapter of the NKBA as Treasurer, Vice President of Communications, President, and Chapter Representative.

During his tenure on the Board of Directors he has served on numerous committees and chaired several task forces. John and his father, Les Petrie CMKBD, have both been leaders in the NKBA with Les serving as President in 2003. This distinction marks the first father and son presidencies.
