The National Kitchen & Bath Association today announced the ten winners of the 2011/2012 NKBA Student Design Competition, which offers more than $10,000 in scholarships and prizes. The winners will be awarded at the NKBA Design Competition Awards event on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) held at Chicago’s McCormick Place This prominent industry event will also recognize the professional designers who created the best kitchens and baths of the past year. The event is an exclusive event available only to the press, top designers, and select industry insiders.

For the seventh consecutive year, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and GE Appliances are proud to announce the winners of the NKBA/GE Charette Competition, which awards students more than $20,000 in scholarships. The competition recognizes students who demonstrate advanced skill in kitchen design by planning a safe, functional kitchen within a three-hour period.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) today announced the promotion of Bill Darcy to CEO. In his new role, he will continue the leadership he began in April 2011, as Executive Vice President, and as evidence of the positive impact his direction has provided, the organization has also officially announced today, an increase in the membership, bringing the total number of NKBA members from nearly 40,000 to more than 50,000.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) released the Kitchen & Bath Market Report for the fourth quarter. Although results convey a slight drop-off from third quarter in number of remodels and budgets, showroom visits held steady from a year ago and with marked increases from 2009 and 2010, optimism for the first quarter of 2012 remains high.
