The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), released the results of the Kitchen & Bath Market Report for the third quarter, reflecting a rise in showroom traffic and an increase in kitchen remodels from one year ago. Although the number of bathroom remodels declined from the second quarter, results show a significant increase over the bathroom sales of a year ago.

During October, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) will celebrate Kitchen & Bath Month by helping consumers enhance the value of their homes with the free downloadable NKBA Kitchen Planner and NKBA Bath Planner. As celebration of the month, the NKBA and its members are donating products to the Storehouse of World Vision, official non-profit partner of Kitchen & Bath Month.

According to the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), kitchen and bath dealers remain undeterred following a challenging quarter across various industry market conditions including showroom visits, sales volumes, remodeling budgets and revenue. The NKBA Kitchen & Bath Market Index (KBMI), which forecasts the confidence of kitchen and bath dealers on a scale of -60 to +60, is +21 for Q3 2011. While positive, the +21 KMBI is down slightly from +33 and +37 during the second and first quarter of 2011, respectively.
