HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. National Kitchen & Bath Association Predicts Slight Q4 Improvements

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (November 29, 2010) – According to the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), kitchen and bath dealers expect marginal improvement in market conditions this quarter despite a decline in showroom visits, sales volumes, remodeling budgets and revenue last quarter. The NKBA Kitchen & Bath Market Index (KBMI), which forecast the confidence of kitchen and bath dealers on a scale of -60 to +60, is +14 for Q4 2010. This KBMI is based on general optimism among dealers across all indicators including 44 percent that anticipate an increase in kitchen and bath revenue this quarter.

The EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP) is Enforced as of October 1, 2010

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (October 13, 2010) – The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) membership will feel the impact of recent industry legislation. As of October 1, 2010, the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP) addressing the presence and removal of lead-based paint in target housing and child-occupied facilities reached its date of enforcement. The EPA regulation requires the use of a Certified Renovator (CR) and the incorporation of lead safe work practices in most pre-1978 residences and child-occupied properties beginning on or after April 22, 2010 and with an enforcement date of October 1, 2010.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association Celebrates Kitchen & Bath Month By Giving Back

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (September 29, 2010) – During October, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) will celebrate Kitchen & Bath Month by helping consumers enhance the value of their homes with the free downloadable NKBA Kitchen Planner and NKBA Bath Planner. In addition to introducing the new planners at NKBA.org/Planners, the NKBA and its members are donating products to the Storehouse of World Vision, official non-profit partner of Kitchen & Bath Month.

2010 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show Draws Nearly 30 Percent Increase In Attendees Compared To Last Year

The National Kitchen & Bath Association Identifies Design Solutions for Cost-Conscious Consumers

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (May 6, 2010) - In a recent survey of 822 National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) members, energy-efficient products highlighted by LED lighting were identified as the most cost-efficient trend for kitchen and bath remodeling in 2010. Following energy efficiency, alternative countertops and products supporting Shaker style designs topped the survey. This trend toward value-friendly kitchen and bath design was reinforced at the NKBA’s annual Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) held April 16-18.
