Darrill Andries, CKD
Darrill Andries, CKD, has over 15 years in the kitchen and bath industry. He holds a B.A. in Art-Interior Design from SDSU and is NCIDQ certified. With a professional focus in the cabinet industry, Andries' experience and expertise includes hand drafting, design, CAD system operation, installation, project management and sales. Having worked several years as a regional corporate trainer, he has conducted over 400 seminars and authored manuals and programs. Having been based in Chicago and Southern California, Andries is currently a trainer and territory manager for a national cabinet company. He co-wrote and teaches Residential Green and also teaches Introduction to Hand Drafting.
Morton Block, CMKBD, CAPS
Morton Block, CMKBD, CAPS, is an award-winning designer and training consultant, an author and speaker. His practical yet innovative design solutions and training styles have significantly influenced the kitchen and bath industry throughout North America for more than 30 years. Block teaches Kitchen Starter, Bath Starter, Kitchen & Bath Krafter, and wrote and teaches many webinars.
Tim Donahue, MA
Tim Donahue is an organizational development consultant, coach and facilitator whose broad experience in strategy and execution has created impact for Fortune 500 and public sector clients. Tim’s 17 years of internal and external consulting have shaped his ability to partner with stakeholders from the boardroom to the back office. Tim has worked with a broad variety of organizations on initiatives ranging from talent and leadership development to talent acquisition and culture change. His client experience includes Pfizer, BASF, Global Hyatt Corp., the Warner Music Group, International Paper, American Express, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He was a contributing author of the book Talent Readiness: The Future is Now
, published in 2010 by the Advantage Media Group. Tim has given keynote addresses and co-authored best practices articles on Talent Readiness. Tim holds a M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Connecticut, with studies at the University of London.
Jeffrey Holloway, CKD, CBD
Jeffrey Holloway, CKD, CBD, of Holloway Home Improvement Center, lives and works in Marmora, New Jersey. With a talented and experienced team, he designs, sells and builds luxury kitchen and bath renovations to the surrounding community. Holloway has been remodeling kitchens and baths for over 21 years. He has been responsible for the construction of new homes, whole house renovations and small additions. Holloway teaches Kitchen Starter, Bath Starter, Job Installation & Project Management, Advanced Kitchen & Bath, and Krafter.
Randy Knott, CKD, CAPS
Randy Knott has been working for NKBA member firms in the Kitchen & Bath industry for 30 years. He has worked in all facets of the industry including Design, Management, as a Manufacturers’ Rep Manufacturing General Manager and Director of Training. He was first involved in a local chapter as a Vice President of Membership in the Texas Hill Country Chapter in the late 1990’s. Randy is a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) and is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). He is currently the Director of Training for Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. since late 2004. Also, he is Vice President of Professional Development for the Alabama Chapter. Randy has led a Virtual Web Based Certification Study Group since 2009. He enjoys getting the e-mails that state, “I Passed!!”
Ann Morris, CMKBD, CAPS
Ann Morris, CMKBD, CAPS, works for Allied Kitchen and Baths in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as a Design Consultant. Morris has been in the kitchen and bath design business for 20-plus years and has designed and installed projects domestically as well as internationally. Her work has been featured in national publications such as McCall's, New York Times, Gourmet Magazine, Town & Country, Better Homes and Gardens, and Inspired House. In 2006, Morris appeared on HGTV's "I Want That Bath" where she designed a guest bathroom in Island Colonial Style. She wrote and teaches Designing with Color.
Kimberly Morrison, CKD, CBD, NCIDQ, ASID, IIDA, IDEC
Kim Morrison, CKD, CBD, NCIDQ, is a certified kitchen and bath designer, as well as a certified interior designer with over 30 years of experience in the field. Currently, she is the Interior Design Program Coordinator for The Art Institute of York Pennsylvania overseeing the development and implementation of curriculum relevant to the ID and K&B fields. She is an adjunct faculty for The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division in the Kitchen & Bath Associate degree program. Her goal is to educate and train students with the skills and knowledge necessary to gain entry-level employment. She has been an active volunteer for NKBA as a member of the Evaluators team for the accreditation process of schools across the country.
Richard Landon, CMKBD
Richard Landon has been active in the NKBA for over two decades and often presents a seminar at KBIS. He also instructs a virtual led course for the experienced level designer, “Customized Design: Layering, Texture, Negative Space”. His expertise in personalized design and cabinetry has resulted in many award-winning projects, including the NKBA’s Best Overall Kitchen Winner. Over 70 of his clients have had their projects published. The Puget Sound chapter has accorded him multiple “Best of the Best” and first place category awards in their annual chapter design contest. His design approach evokes, and then harmonizes, his client’s preferences, creating a home that “looks great, works well, and, most important, feels right.”
Judith A. Neary, CMKBD
Judith Neary is a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer (CMKBD). She began her career in commercial and hospitality design and continued to develop her skills and style designing and building custom cabinetry, case goods and furniture. After twelve years of merchandising, design and training for a national retailer, she began working in the manufacturing segment of the industry. She is a frequent contributor to the industry through webinars, writing and public speaking on a variety of topics of inspirational and educational interest for both the design professional and home owner. Judith Neary, CMKBD is one of the professional instructors for the National Kitchen and Bath Association, offering her comprehensive experience in various applications of design to students and designers nationwide. She is currently part of the Jenn-Air Design Advisory Council, providing feedback from a designer perspective on the Jenn-Air appliance brand as well as other Whirlpool Corporation brands. Her design practice celebrates the eclectic arts and food-advore culture of the Vashon Island community in Washington State where her studio is located
David Newton, CMKBD, shares his experience, knowledge, and new trends in the industry with others. Newton's presentations are continuously rated high for instruction, knowledge of the industry, and a "voice of experience". His grasp of the profession and teaching skills make him a valuable member of our industry. Newton wrote and teaches Selling with Personality, Kitchen Starter, Bath Starter, Certification Prep, Kitchen & Bath Krafter, Documenting Kitchen Design, Documenting Bath Design, as well as many webinars and web series courses. In 2008, Newton was inducted into the Kitchen & Bath Industry Hall of Fame.
Mary Jo Peterson, CMKBD
Mary Jo Peterson is president of Mary Jo Peterson, Inc., a Connecticut-based design firm that focuses on residential projects and provides design support to major homebuilders and product manufacturers nationwide. Certified in kitchen, bath, aging-in-place, and active adult housing design with 25 years experience, Mary Jo’s work has earned national recognition, including induction into the NKBA Hall of Fame in 2009. With specific expertise in universal design, she has authored three books on the subject and is a frequent national speaker and educator. More recently, she has developed and taught courses on sustainability in kitchen/bath design, and outdoor kitchen design. Her latest books, Kitchen Planning and Bath Planning, were published by the NKBA in 2006, as part of their professional resource library. Among her affiliations are active membership in NAHB, NKBA, and other national accessibility councils, where she contributes to the evolving integration of access and beautiful design.
