NKBA Exam Preparation for 20-20 CAD Users

Get to know the NKBA exam version of 20-20 software.  These e-learning sessions are a quick, easy, and informative way to prepare for your CKD and CBD exam.  These e-learning sessions will focus on the differences between the NKBA exam version of 20-20 and the standard version, and examine the changes to the default settings and automatic functions built into the software.  It is expected that you are already very familiar with 20-20 design software.

Chief Architect Software Tips for the NKBA Design Exam

Chief Architect software has been approved for use in the NKBA design exam. This online training class is designed to help with tips and techniques that can be used to increase your productivity while taking the exam. We will discuss items such as working with layers, creating legends, electrical tools, dimensioning, the center line tool, and more. Also covered are tips for the floor plan, construction/mechanical plan, and elevation plan.

Study Groups

Each NKBA chapter has a Vice President of Professional Development. One of the responsibilities of this officer is to organize and conduct study groups for the CKD/CBD examinations. These study groups have proven to be beneficial in keeping candidates motivated to prepare for the exam and improve the pass rate of examinees. Study group formats vary from three (3) to ten (10) months because they are conducted individually by each NKBA chapter. To find out if your chapter is or will be conducting a CKD or CBD Study Group, contact your local chapter's Vice President of Professional Development. Preparatory Courses

The NKBA offers certification prep courses for aspiring AKBDs, CKDs and CBDs. Recommended for individuals preparing for the certification exams, these courses offer participants a time-effective way to review the competencies and skills required of a certified designer, including the NKBA Graphic and Presentation Standards and Kitchen & Bath Planning Guidelines.
