2013 Design Competition winners revealed at KBIS!
The winners of the 2013 NKBA Design Competition were revealed on April 18th at an exclusive awards event at the Republic New Orleans during the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). The Best Kitchen and Best Bath Designers for 2013 incorporated hand-cut, hand-blown and LED-lit glass in their designs, and each took home $10,000 for their winning designs.
Wendy Johnson, CKD, CBD, of Designs for Living in Manchester Village, Vt., took the Best Kitchen Award for her grand-scale room with a curved, LED-lit glass bar overlooking art glass on panels in the cooking and entertaining centers, with an expansive golf course view covering an entire side of the space. Shea Pumarejo of Younique Designs in Helotes, Texas, earned the Best Bath Award for her Baroque-style room, featuring a hand-cut glass wall and a red, hand-blown glass faucet and sink.
