West Michigan

Welcome to the 6th annual West Michigan Chapter NKBA Student Design Competition. Please carefully review the client description, room floor plan, and the NKBA kitchen design guidelines (attached below). Judges will be looking for compliance with the NKBA kitchen planning guidelines, a quality presentation, as well as overall excellence in design. All drawings may be hand done or computer generated. Winners will be announced at the May 17th meeting.

Speaker: Joe Drogo from Sonoma TileMakers

Joe Drogo is an innovative, dynamic speaker.  He is a Regional Account Executive for Sonoma TileMakers.  He was previously Vice President for Innovative Marble and Tile and TILES, a refined selection.  Joe has also been instrumental in the advertising departments for Martha Stewart Living Magazine, Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine.

Change of Date

The Tour Committee has met again and through further research we found that our previous date for this years Signature Tour of Kitchens had some conflicts. We are changing the date to October 8^th, 2011  

Please plan accordingly.

Also, the tour committee would like to encourage multiple entries from our members. Last year we had several companies that had more than one home in the tour. This allowed people to see several different kitchens designed by the same firm. To encourage this we are augmenting the entry fee as follows:

                1^st home in the tour        $675

                Subsequent homes can be entered for $340 each, roughly half price

Please forward your entries ASAP. We have several members committed, but we are under a time crunch. Remember the home must be ready for photography by June 1^st.

 You will receive a half page ad featuring your home in Michigan Home and Lifestyle Magazine. ($1675 value) 　

 NKBA will advertise the event driving people to your home 　

 You will receive 10 free tickets per business to give out to your prospective customers 　

 Signage will be provided by the NKBA drawing people to your home 　

 One day event so you won’t inconvenience your homeowners 　

 Your finished project will be featured showcasing all of your work to the general public 　

 Signage for the event will be provided for your showroom 　

 We will donate half of our ticket sales to a cancer prevention charity 　

 All homes will be featured on the West Michigan’s NKBA website www.wmnkba.org
