Social Networking for your Kitchen and Bath Business-

The profileration of online social networking sites has the Kitchen and Bath Industry, along with others, looking for ways to tap these powerful new tools for marketing.  This workshop will discuss the what, who, and how of online social networking as it specifically relates to our profession and also to other interior design industries.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts offers guided walking tours that take visitors through the center, highlighting its architectural accomplishments, artwork and historic overview.  A scheduled tour lasts approximately 60 minutes.

All tour participants must register in advance with Iris etta Goliger- President of the Southwest Chapter of the NKBA, at email irisetta1@aol.com or 702-328-5195.

Members, Guests, and Students alike are encouraged to participate in a The Smith Center tour.  Please note that the tour is scheduled around the performances and work calls of the technicians, artists and administrators who produce our amazing events. Every tour will strive to give attendees a full experience; however, due to our active performance schedule, we cannot guarantee that every tour will have the opportunity to view all venues on campus.

The charge for this event is $25.00 for members, and $30.00 for guests. This will include the special tour and lunch. Please reserve early as seats are limited.

The NKBA Southwest Desert Chapter is proud to announce a special presentation by

NKBA Secretary Carolyn F. Cheetham, CMKBD

  “Universal Design and Aging in Place”

Carolyn Cheetham, CMKBD became a Certified Kitchen Designer in 1995, a Certified Bathroom Designer in 1996, and a Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer in 2006. Through her business, Design Works by Cheetham, she uses her skills as an architectural technologist and CMKBD to design complete house plans and renovation projects. Her experience as an NKBA volunteer leader began in 1993 as a chapter officer. Since then, Cheetham has served as a national leader on the Advisory Council of Designers, Board of Chapter Representatives, Board of Directors, Canadian Ad Hoc Membership Parity Committee, International Task Force, and Sustainability Task Force, as well as a judge for two NKBA Design Competitions.
