December Gala at the Walker Fine Art Gallery in DenverLavs n Loos Fundraiser to Support Arts in EducationThu, December 1, 2011 @ 06:00 PM

Our local chapter has embarked on a fundraiser called Lavs & Loos, to support Arts in Education.    We wanted to create an event that will heighten the awareness of the local NKBA chapter to consumers and with the Denver Art & Design community.  We wanted this event to be a way for our Chapter to “give back” to the community and to give artists a fun and creative venue to showcase their talents while encouraging synergy between the art community and designers.

The recipient for this year will be the Art Institute of Colorado.  We selected this educational institution because they have an NKBA accredited program.

If you have heard about paint the cows, horses, goats etc., then you will understand our intent with Lavs & Loos.  We have received donated toilets and sinks, and are gathering up artists to apply their magic touch in enhancing these white porcelain treasures.

The artistic Lavs & Loos will be auctioned off at our Gala  scheduled for December 1 at the Walker Fine Art Gallery in the Golden Triangle Art District.
