Chapter Meeting NoticeThe Art of Questioning - The Key to Successful SellingFri, April 15, 2011 @ 06:00 PM

Event Summary:  This presentation focuses on the skills necessary to garner the information required to design and prepare a proposal that meets the clients needs.

Asking the right questions necessitates listening and clarifying the answers you receive.  Experienced sales people will be reminded of the techniques and skills required to gain this information and those new to selling will be encouraged by the techniques presented.

Speaker:  Les Petrie, CMKBD, started his career while selling diagnostic imaging equipment in Pittsburgh, PA, responsible for sales, service, and administration.

In 1986, seeking to fulfill a desire to own a business and not wanting to let his previous experiences lay waste, he purchased Mother Hubbard Custom Cabinetry in Mechanicsburg, PA.  Les soon earned his credentials as a CKD and CBD and was one of the first 50 CMKBD's.  Mother Hubbard Custom Cabinetry soon became a leader in high end design and remodeling and is now owned and directed by his son John, also a CMKBD.

Les has held nearly every officer position at both the chapter and national level and lead the NKBA as National President in 2003.

He continues to write for both local and national magazines and contributes to publications across the U.S. as well as making design presentations for allied associations.  He has presented both here and in Englands largest kitchen & bath shows, Kitchen & Bath Expo, and Master Class in both London and Birmingham.

Les maintains a practice as an independent design consultant in Cocoa Beach, Florida and serves as an instructor of NKBA courses throughout North America.
