Anne Davis Award at the O.C.C. College Campus (Whitney Auditorium Main Atrium Area). There will also be a CEU on "Maintaining Healthy Indoor Air" How to deal with today's high efficiency building envelope. Presented by John A. Granato CKD. Agenda:  After the award presentation, there will be a class by John Granato for 0.1 CEU, a hot buffet meal to follow for the students in John's class and those of us from the NKBA. Finally, a meeting with the 12 students from John's class in a one to one situation, (NKBA professional to student) to discuss the profession.Student cost is $20.00. NKBA member $25.00.  **Since the shopping paradigm has shifted so must our marketing in order to reach today's shopper at that Zero Moment of Truth when buying decisions are  made.

 

Philip D. Zaleon is the founder and president of Chapel Hill (NC)-based Z promotion & design, Inc. – a full service integrated marketing, advertising and creative agency specializing in providing services to the Kitchen & Bath industry.  He is also the co-founder and partner of The Kitchen & Bath Channel, which provides industry professionals with consumer leads through marketing tools that utilize the latest technologies and techniques, designed to connect consumers with kitchen & bath professionals.

Prior to founding Z promotion & design in 1996 and The Kitchen & Bath Channel in 2010, Phil held the position of Vice President of Research & Development for a technology-based communications firm.  In addition, Phil is an international award-winning designer and producer who spent over 12 years in the television industry as a graphic designer, a producer, director, animator and marketing director at top thirty (TV) market affiliates, as well as at CNN in Atlanta.

David Alderman, CMKBD – NKBA President David Alderman, CMKBD started Dave’s Cabinet Inc. in Chesapeake, Virginia in 1980. Today, he and his partner fabricate granite countertops and manufacture face frame and frameless cabinets, closet systems, and millwork. An NKBA member since 1984, Alderman served the Virginia State Chapter as President, Chapter Representative, Vice President of Programs, Vice President of Professional Development, and Treasurer. He has also served nationally on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Chapter Leadership and Development Committee, Membership Committee, and Governance Review Task Force. He has received the Certified Kitchen Designer National Merit Award three times.

Managing the Customer for Profit

Building value for the customer and the company into every project, is essential to sustaining a successful business. With over 30 years of professional experience building his business, David Alderman, CMKBD will share his million-dollar checklist as well as a wealth of other tips and takeaways for managing not only the customer, but also your business, for profit.
