The "Nerdy-Sexy" Kitchenwith Marilyn SanfordWed, November 6, 2013 @ 05:00 PM

The Nerdy-Sexy Kitchen,
with Marilyn Sanford

About the evening

The “ Nerdy-Sexy Kitchen” is a kitchen that has highly advanced automatic systems for lighting, temperature control, multi-media, security, window and door operations. Mariyln Sandorf is going to showcase how a smart kitchen fits into the “Intelligent Home” with components such as intelligent appliances, surface technologies, mobile devices and how these spaces are connected to the world.  A sexy kitchen appears "Nerdy" because its computer systems can monitor so many aspects of daily living.  For example, the refrigerator may be able to inventory its contents, suggest menus, recommend healthy alternatives, and order groceries.  The smart home systems might even take care of cleaning the cat's litter box and watering the plants!  Marilyn will challenge us with the depth - Part II from the "Intelligent Home".

About The Presenter

Marilyn Sanford is a Founding Member and Past President of CEDIA Canada (Custom Electronic Designers & Installers Association). She is an active industry advocate who participates on CEDIA boards and instructs at CEDIA expos. Marilyn Co-founded Smart fx in 1993, one of Vancouver's first custom install firms. Marilyn brings over 25 years of diverse business management to the La Scala team as president. Since 1989 Marilyn and her team at La Scala have been offering custom solutions in the Vancouver marketplace, whether talking about musicality, video quality, robust control systems or innovated lighting control.

About the evening

"When it comes to this market, what do home owners really want?"

Join Caesarstone's John Filomena as he sits down with ‘Mr. List It’ himself, Todd Talbot (Love It or List It Vancouver).  When it comes to the Vancouver market, Todd is definitely in the know.  The TV host is not only a real estate investor / renovator, he is also the co-founder of realDESIGN.

The BC Chapter of the NKBA, is proud to have Todd as he dives into local market trends, and highlights who's buying and what they're looking for.  Todd will share what he has learned in the almost 15 years in the Greater Vancouver housing market.  Plus, you will get to be one of the first to see a sneak peak of Caesarstone's new collection!

About The Presentation

"How to Sell Value Instead of Price" with Randy Hnatko

Many salespeople, in their attempt to achieve higher levels of success, hit a level and then, for no apparent reason, stall at that level.  This seminar will show its attendees how to ask questions and discover the compelling reasons why someone wants or needs your product or service, bringing value to prospects, not price.

Attendees will also learn how to present their product or service in a manner consistent with the prospect’s priorities, obtain a decision and prevent buyer’s remorse from taking hold. Additionally, attendees will learn why it is essential to increase specific prospecting activities and will learn how to set the stage for future business and referrals.
